David confesses of his hopeless circumstances before God because he clearly acknowledged his inability to overcome his crisis on his own.
Our confessions of our powerlessness before God leads to God’s great power and His working for us.
This is why sometimes, God waits for us to completely let go of our stubbornness and greed.
When we go before God, we must be able to let go of what we have.
I hope that we can live a life of having faith in God that He will surely work for us, letting go of what is inside of us, confessing our powerlessness, and completely relying on Him and praying.
Passage: Psalm 142:1-7
6 Listen to my cry, for I am in desperate need; rescue me from those who pursue me, for they are too strong for me.
7 Set me free from my prison, that I may praise your name. Then the righteous will gather about me because of your goodness to me.
