An Indian movie ‘Black’ is about a girl named Michelle who cannot see and cannot hear. One day Mr Sahai comes to her like a miracle and pulls Michelle out from her prison of darkness into a world of light. At her university graduation, Michelle says to the audience, ‘If we look from God’s eyes, we are all blind... I have touched God and felt His presence.’ Christians are people with hope because of Jesus, who live through His power in a world of darkness and fear.
Our fate and the world that we see through Jesus is a new reality where illness, fear, death and pain have been overcome. There is only one way to achieve victory in reality where darkness and death reigns. We need to put ourselves on the cross and worship Jesus, leaving space in us for the resurrected Christ to live in.
Passage: John 20:1-10
6 Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there,
7 as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus’ head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen.
8 Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.
9 (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)
