Experiencing the power of prayer
My father, Elder Song Chang Ho, had abnormal symptoms in lungs three months ago and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors were not able to find the exact diagnosis but he improved enough for discharge. However, not long ago, through a high resolution CT scan of the lungs, the doctor told us that he had lung cancer. Furthermore, the cancer was attached to the lymph nodes and metastasis was suspected. I was so surprised that I asked the intercessory team to pray for us. And to make an accurate diagnosis, my father had to have various tests again, and last week, we received the surprising news that “no evidence of cancer was found” in the biopsy of the lungs. Hallelujah~~
There are still two tests left, but we are praying and hoping that the exact cause will be found and cured.
Last week, my wife suddenly suffered from a facial paralysis, causing her mouth to turn and her eyes to not close. I was thankful because my wife said, ‘My life is not affected, so I thank God’. The high dose steroids taken to treat facial paralysis made it difficult to sleep and needed rest and stability, so she could not keep to the place of prayer that she always kept. But now, little by little, recovery is starting. Because of your prayers, I have faith that it will surely be restored.
Last week, I heard the good news that the size of benign tumour in the brain of Pastor YoungOk Yoon, whom all the members of the church had been praying for, did not grow bigger for several months. Because the tumour has not disappeared, there is still the possibility that brain surgery may be required. Continued prayer is needed so that the tumour does not grow larger but shrink instead.
