As planned, Jesus and his disciples boarded a boat to cross the sea of Galilee. However, their boat encountered a furious storm that carried the dangers of potentially wrecking the ship. Covered in fear that they would soon die, the disciples came to wake Jesus who was asleep. Jesus rebuked the disciples who were with him on the boat and said "You men of little faith."
Even if you are on a boat with Jesus, you may still encounter storms. Even the disciples who had been fishermen for all their lives were afraid of the storm. We too may also come across storms in our lives in the journey of faith. Even if we have believed in Jesus for all our lives, an unexpected storm is fearful.
At times like this, we must be aware of who we are with in the voyage of life. Who is the God that is with me? [It is Jesus who calms the wind and the sea.]

24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.
25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
