The paralysed man was a person who lived without any hope, who could not even get up from bed himself. However, after he met Jesus he received great grace. He was able to be freed from suffering due to his paralysis.
So then how should he live his life from now on?
Shouldn't he live his life testifying that “Jesus forgave my sins and set me free from pain?”
This would be the reasonable response as a person who has received precious grace that can not be exchanged for anything.
We, who had no choice but to die because of our sins have been saved through the precious blood of Jesus on the cross.
The grace of Jesus' forgiveness of sins is flowing to us as well.
Therefore, I hope that we can live a life that conveys the grace of Jesus and become witnesses of the forgiveness of sins to those around us.
Passage to read: Matthew 9:1-8
6 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, take your mat and go home.”
7 Then the man got up and went home.
8 When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man.
