          • Let’s not step back.

I think it is one of the services that pastors should do, to make the church members successful as faithful believers. However, during my pastoral ministry, I have seen cases where people were taking a step back from both faith and ministry. God tells us, “But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved” (Hebrews 10:39).

If you keep stepping away from situations, not only your true life of faith will not change for the better, but may even become worse. However, it does not end here, you might start to feel alienated, disappointed, sad and have negative thoughts about the church. In the end, you will lose even the faith that you were barely holding on to.

There were many difficult situations during my pastoral ministry. However, what I think I did well was that I held on to the place the Lord had entrusted to me.

It is important to hold on to your place, whether you are good at living your life of faith or not. It is the attitude of a successful believer to keep the place of faith even when there are tribulations that come from relationships and even when facing trials in difficult circumstances.

Whether you are good at your ministry or not, it is more important to hold on to your place of ministry and keep going. If you hold on to your place, your capabilities will grow and you will eventually become a victorious believer.

If you continue to hold your house church meetings at a fixed time without any change, your house church ministry will become fruitful. It is important for the shepherd to faithfully hold on to their place with the mindset that they will hold their house church meetings even if no one attends the house church meeting.

You need to know that it is Satan’s trap that make people feel like not going to church on Sundays, tempt us to give up our church ministries, not go to house church meetings, and tempt us to step back. On the contrary, if you overcome that moment well, and hold on to your place, it becomes an opportunity for growth in faith.
