          • “He is in your hands.”

These are the words God spoke to Satan.
It indicates that ‘God’ is sovereign over Job.
It also means that He has authority to allow blessings and afflictions.

Job believed God had sovereignty in all areas of his life.
So his faith did not waver and he feared God even when his wife cursed him.
How about us? How do we react to afflictions and pain? Where do you think they come from?

God has authority over all blessings and sufferings because he created us and reigns over us.

            Passage: Job 2:1~13
4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life.
5 But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
6 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life.”
