Job was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil. (v1)
Job was positive that God was the Lord of the world, so he feared Him and tried to obey the Word.
He was not a “Christian of words, but of action”.
Job was a great man, also in God’s eyes.
So then what kind of person am I in God’s eyes and in others’?
What kind of faith do people say I have?
May we today be Christians, not only of words, but ones that testify through our lives.
Passage: Job 1:1~5
1 In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil.
5 When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking, “Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.
