          • Do not be drawn to what is evil

There are many individuals who are victimised by bad mouthing and hence have a hard time at work.
Bad mouthing usually occurs when the subject is not present and is begun by those whose inferiority complex have turned into jealousy.
However, there are of course, occasions where the immaturity of that individual brings about these wrongdoings.

At first the criticism can be intriguing to listen to and one might even be able to relate to it.
However, relating to and agreeing with the bad-mouthing and spreading of rumours about incidents that have not occurred yet lead those who concerned to death, and further convict both the one who bad mouthed and the one who agreed, as evil.

We must always make sure that we have a guard over our mouths so that we do not cooperate with evildoers and thereby become stained with sin. We need to pray that we hold onto the Holy Spirit so that our hearts are not drawn to what is evil and that we do not take part in evil deeds along with evildoers.

            Passage to read: Psalms 141:1-10
3 Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips
4 Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies.
5 Let a righteous man strike me—that is a kindness; let him rebuke me —that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?

            2. What is God’s message to you?

            3. What do you need to obey?

            4. What are you grateful for today?
