          • Looking at the Land of Hope

After God rejected Moses’s request to enter the Promised Land, Moses climbed up a mountain so that he could at least have a good view of the land. He recalls how God guided and protected Israelites during the 40 years of the journey in the wilderness.

God decided to disallow Moses entry to Canaan and Moses did not express his disappointment about the decision. He instead humbly obeyed to his commandment to encourage and strengthen Joshua, who would take the reins of leadership from Moses and lead the people into the Promised Land

God disciples and trains up his people to live as his citizens and praise the one and only God during the time in the wilderness, so that all glory goes to God as we build His kingdom together. The world we live in is full of evil and sin. We should encourage and strengthen the next generation to live for God’s Kingdom together.

            Deuteronomy 3:23-29

            27
Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west and north and south and east. Look at the land with your own eyes, since you are not going to cross this Jordan.
            28
But commission Joshua, and encourage and strengthen him, for he will lead this people across and will cause them to inherit the land that you will see.”

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God’s message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
