          • Why should we receive baptism?

Why should we receive baptism? Baptism is not something humans decided, but rather, it was established and commanded by Jesus. Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:18-20)
Moreover, Jesus himself set an example. (Matthew 3:16-17) Jesus, who had no sin or guilt, considered baptism important enough to receive it personally and to demonstrate it. Therefore, in the early church, everyone who entered the community of believers through faith in Jesus received baptism.
How should baptism be administered? Biblically, baptism signifies immersion in water and coming out completely. However, some denominations practice a symbolic baptism by sprinkling water on the head. This does not invalidate the baptism, but we choose to perform immersion baptism because we believe it aligns with the biblical instruction. We encourage those who have received infant baptism or Catholic baptism or through cults to receive baptism according to the Bible, along with a sincere confession of faith.
Baptism is a public declaration of one's faith in front of witnesses. Living a Christian life without undergoing baptism is like living together without a wedding ceremony. After baptism, all believers celebrate together, as the salvation of one soul is a cause for great rejoicing.
Some may hesitate to undergo baptism due to fear of giving a testimony. Testifying serves as a public declaration of faith and an expression of gratitude to those who have supported one's journey of faith. However, giving testimony is not mandatory for baptism. Therefore, those who have received Jesus are encouraged to receive baptism.
