          • To break free from dependent faith

The life of faith initially starts as dependent faith, like that of a child. However, with time, one should strive to become spiritually independent. Continuous effort is necessary to transition from dependent faith to mature and independent faith.
Firstly, it requires striving to live according to the Word. Merely attending worship services and hearing sermons won't suffice for spiritual growth. While listening to good sermons and receiving grace may seem to foster spiritual growth, it's not entirely so. Instead, it's when one listens to the Word and endeavours to live obediently, even in small ways, that one grows as a believer and spiritually strengthens.
Secondly, it involves daily and regular prayer. To move away from dependent faith, one must engage in spiritual struggles to encounter God personally and hear His voice. It's essential to cultivate a habit of wrestling in prayer rather than merely praying briefly and ending it.
Thirdly, it comes through sharing life experiences and testimonies. Sharing, during the house church meetings, how one tried to live out the Word received during Sunday services fosters spiritual independence. Though personal encounters with God may seem mundane when shared, compared to the special and unique spiritual experiences you hear at the special seminars, they will resonate with others, evoking empathy and sparking change.
Fourthly, it's through concrete acts of service. While receiving love, service, and prayers is essential at the beginning of one's faith journey, over time, one must transition into loving, serving, and praying for others. Moreover, one must become a conduit of grace, extending grace to others from the grace they've received. This entails seeking out and serving VIPs with love and prayer, even at the cost of sacrifice. Through such a life of service, one gradually transforms into a person who loves souls and extends grace.
Lastly, it involves participating in ministry. Initially, one should seek out and carry out minor tasks within the house churches and also actively engage in church activities. Engaging in ministry at the house church or church fosters attachment to these communities and brings joy in one's spiritual life. I'd particularly like to encourage the dream of becoming a shepherd. Looking at shepherds, I'm convinced that over time, they become spiritually stronger and mature believers through the conviction of saving souls and discipling through shepherding.

            Word of the week
People seek out churches and house churches, and they become a place where VIPs want to come, just like they do cafes or restaurants when there's a bright and joyful atmosphere among the church members. Your smiles, kind service, and unseen sacrifices create this atmosphere.
