          • We must be wary of stereotypes.

When Jesus went to His hometown of Nazareth, the people there did not acknowledge Him as the Messiah. It was because they judged Jesus according to their own thoughts and standards.
            However, people change and mature.
That's why we shouldn't have preconceived notions based on what we've seen in the past.

We must remember the grace God has shown us where He has transformed poor and weak sinners like us into saints without having any preconceived thoughts and we must acknowledge and remember the fact that the people around us can change and grow as well. I hope we don't make the mistake of judging the people around us by having these stereotypes.

            Passage to read: Matthew 13:51-58

54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.
55 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? 56 Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?”
57 And they took offense at him.
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and in his own home.”
