Jesus healed and restored Peter’s mother-in-law who was suffering from a fever and countless people who were demon-possessed. Many people who witnessed Jesus’ miracles and power begin to swarm around Jesus. One of those, a teacher of the law, begs to follow Him.
Jesus teaches the teacher of the law “the cost of following Him”.
Jesus’ teaches to “believe in the word and obey” and to “give up what is mine and serve others”.
Jesus healed people with leprosy, servants and women who were discriminated in society and were marginalised.
I would like us to deeply meditate once again on whether we say we will “follow Jesus” but cannot “sacrifice or give up things for others”.

19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
