Our Lord came as a human, but He came to a low and lowly place of a stable.
Not only that, but the life of the Lord has never once been glorious. During his public life, he wandered here and there without a room to rest. And he was ridiculed by the religious leaders, despised in his hometown, and betrayed by his disciples. He also suffered all kinds of beatings, contempt, as well as the suffering and death on the cross.
However, the reason the Lord came as a low and lowly human being was to become a friend to us who are low and lowly friend.
Therefore, I hope that our day today can become a day of living together with that Lord and being close to Him as a friend.
Passage to read: Luke 2:1-7
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.
6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born
