Now Job confesses that he sees God with his own eyes. To say that he has seen God with his own eyes means that he has realised God’s existence after experiencing Him for himself.
God, who he previously only heard about or have known with just head knoweldge, is now clearly visible, and the works of God are clearly seen.
Only after realising who God is truly, that person will be able to see their dirty sins and mistakes of the past that needs to be repented. Job thought he was a righteous man, but when he saw God directly, he realized that he was a sinner with arrogance, distrust, and resentment towards God in his heart and so he repented before God.
Passage to read: Job 42:1-6
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
