When suffering comes to us, there are many who think of death as a way to solve problems, as if they have lost all reasons for living.
[Death]
Death does not necessarily mean physical death. We must realise that, even worse, spiritual death can come upon us. [I hope you will be armed with the Word and with prayer so that your spirit does not die.]
God has
replaced despair with hope,
led us from darkness into light,
and given us eternal life from death.
I hope you will look to the Lord today and rely on Him.
Passage to read: Job 17:6-16
14 if I say to corruption, ‘You are my father,’ and to the worm, ‘My mother’ or ‘My sister,’
15 where then is my hope - who can see any hope for me?
16 Will it go down to the gates of death? Will we descend together into the dust?”
