How would I feel if the person I showed kindness to mocked me and showed contempt towards me because I was experiencing hardships?
The feeling of betrayal would cause distress and I would have hoped that terrible things would happen to them.
It is wrong to betray an act of kindness.
And so we, who are all in debt to God’s great kindness and grace should, in all circumstances, refrain from doing actions and thinking thoughts that betray Him.
I hope that we can all live in remembrance and gratitude of God’s amazing grace, and remain faithful to Him.
Passage to read: Job 30:1-15
9 ‘And now those young men mock me in song; I have become a byword among them.
10 They detest me and keep their distance; they do not hesitate to spit in my face.
11 Now that God has unstrung my bow and afflicted me, they throw off restraint in my presence.
