One of the easiest mistakes one can make is the mistake of universalising one’s own values or beliefs, and criticising and excluding others who do not have the same standards as they do.
Technically, Job’s friends also made a mistake, the mistake that stemmed from limiting and measuring God’s sovereign providence to their own values or beliefs, which they used to encourage Job.
I hope that we are careful and are considerate of others so that we don’t make the same mistakes that Job’s friends made.

13 Yet if you devote your heart to him
and stretch out your hands to him,
14 if you put away the sin that is in your hand and allow no evil to dwell in your tent,
