Do you want to live without wasting away your life on things that are not important? When speaking to Timothy about his ministry, Paul says to not focus on things such as discussions and mythology that are not important.
If Paul had lived in today’s age, it would have meant something like “Do not have your heart stolen and focus on unimportant worldly talk or entertaining yet meaningless things that come from your phone. Do not have your heart stolen by materialism.”
When we are guided by the Holy Spirit, it is not only our souls that need to be guided but it is also our hearts, thoughts, eyes, ears and hands as well.

4 or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith.
5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.
6 Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk.
