David cries out to God to save him as he faces death threats from his enemies. And he praises God with all his heart, who saves him from the hands of his enemies.
How do we react to the enemies that come after us? Do we prepare for war? Or do we go forth to the Lord who controls the war and will give us victory?
Our enemies can try to suffocate us at our workplaces, in relationships, financial trouble or worldly cultures. Let us go forth to God who will listen to our cries for help and respond.
Passage: Psalm 18:1-19
4 The cords of death entangled me; the torrents of destruction overwhelmed me.
5 The cords of the grave coiled around me; the snares of death confronted me.
6 In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears.
