One day a young man came to a pastor and asked “pastor, is it a sin to drink and smoke?” The pastor replied like this, “That’s a very weird question to ask! It is actually like a student asking a professor “professor, how can I not get a F grade for my subject?”
If the student was a wise student, shouldn’t he be asking “professor how can I receive an A grade for my subject?”
It is similar to this.
If our faith is genuine, we would ask the question “how can I please God more?” instead of asking “If I do this, would God be angry?” As we think and ask the right questions in our lives God will see our true heart and generously pour out His grace and blessings upon us.
Passage to read: Exodus 39:22-31
30 They made the plate, the sacred emblem, out of pure gold and engraved on it, like an inscription on a seal: holy to the Lord.
31 Then they fastened a blue cord to it to attach it to the turban, as the Lord commanded Moses.
