With the enormous amounts of precious materials of gold, silver and bronze that the Israelites offered, the sanctuary was made with sincerity in the way God had commanded. And since it was the place where God would dwell the Israelites offered their materials generously and not one of them complained about it.
However we give to God we sometimes have a hesitant heart or we think of it as a waste. For the things we eat, wear and enjoy, we spend generously but when it comes to offering to God we hesitate.
Let’s give to God with sincere hearts and be grateful that everything we have has come from God and know that all we enjoy is because of His grace.
Passage to read: Exodus 38:21-31
24 The total amount of the gold from the wave offering used for all the work on the sanctuary was 29 talents and 730 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel.
25 The silver obtained from those of the community who were counted in the census was 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel— 26 one beka per person, that is, half a shekel, according to the sanctuary shekel, from everyone who had crossed over to those counted, twenty years old or more, a total of 603,550 men.
