Through Moses’ intercessory prayer, God agrees to allow the Israelites the Promised Land and to send an angel before them, but He says that He ‘would not go with them’.
But because Moses knew what true blessing was, he offers another intercessory prayer to God- ‘Lord, please be with us.’
The greatest blessing for a Christian is a life accompanied by God. If God was not with us, we wouldn’t be able to walk with hope, and would lose heart with every affliction and trial.
Hence, we must pray every day for ‘the Lord to be with us’.

Passage: Exodus 33:12~23
12 Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’
13 If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people.”
14 The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
