We often think of blessings as things related to wealth. However, the people who are regarded as blessed who live for God's kingdom are different.
Blessed is the one who does not stand in step with the wicked, they also do not stand in the way that sinners take, and do not sit in the company of mockers.
They are those who take delight in the law of the Lord and meditates on it.
To those who live like this, like a tree planted by streams of water which yields its fruit in season, they drink the water provided by the Lord, live by that strength each day, and they prosper in whatever they do.
Passage to read: Psalms 1:1-6
1 Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
