The most painful encounters we might experience in our lives may be from the relational issues we have with our family members or with close friends. Today’s poem is the prayer of David who was in great distress as a result of the rebellion of his son Absalom. People ridiculed that even God couldn’t save. In general people also blamed God in these situations.
But David only looked to God and trusted in Him right til the end. He sought only God's help in every situation, breaking through his pain with prayer.
Passage to read: Psalms 3:1-8
1 LORD, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.”
3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 I call out to the LORD, and he answers me from his holy mountain.
5 I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
6 I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side.
