As Aron and his sons prepare for the consecration of the priests, they splash the blood of a ram on their ears, hands, and feet, and consecrate themselves by sprinkling some of the anointing oil onto their bodies. In this way, only the priests whose hearts were consecrated and cleansed could come before God.
In the Old Testament, it was not anyone who could enter the Most Holy Place to meet God but because Jesus came to this world and died for once and for all, through the precious blood that was shed, anyone could have the privilege of coming before God.
Let us become holy through this blood every day and be distinguished from the world so that we can worship God, live in His presence and experience the privilege and grace God gives us.

19 “Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
20 Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then splash blood against the sides of the altar.
21 And take some blood from the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. Then he and his sons and their garments will be consecrated.
