The Israelites complained to Moses of not having anything to eat in the wilderness and God, who loved His people, rained down enough manna and quail for each day.
He gave them two days’ worth of food the day before the Sabbath and allowed them to store it.
God does not starve His people but feeds them.
Let us reflect on our minds, thoughts and lives- do we trust God who gives us our daily bread and are we grateful for His grace, or are we still unhappy with what we have, complaining to God and resenting Him?
Passage: Exodus 16:21-36
27 Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.
28 Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?
29 Bear in mind that the Lord has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where they are on the seventh day; no one is to go out.”
30 So the people rested on the seventh day.
