When Moses and Aron obey God's commands and raises Aron's hands over the Nile River, the river turns into blood.
However, as the Egyptian magicians perform the same transformation, Pharaoh's heart hardened and does not let the Irsaelites go.
Like how Pharoah suspects God's true power because of how the Egyptian magicians imitated God's work, I reflect on whether we have lived according to our own strength and abilities and whether we have relied on what we have rather than seeking His face.
I hope that we can build God's kingdom as we follow His words and remember that it is God who gives us these abilities and talents.
Passage to read: Exodus 7:14-25
20 Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord had commanded. He raised his staff in the presence of Pharaoh and his officials and struck the water of the Nile, and all the water was changed into blood.
21 The fish in the Nile died, and the river smelled so bad that the Egyptians could not drink its water. Blood was everywhere in Egypt.
22 But the Egyptian magicians did the same things by their secret arts, and Pharaoh’s heart became hard; he would not listen to Moses and Aaron, just as the Lord had said.
