To escape the crisis, Pharaoh asks Moses and Aaron to take away the plague of locusts.
Moses prayed to God, and a strong wind drove the swarm of locusts into the Red Sea.
But again, Pharaoh was stubborn and did not let Israel go.
Pharaoh appears to lie before God in order to escape from the crisis of destruction.
However, instead of choosing deceit to overcome the moment of crisis, I hope that we can look to God even during crises and strive to live a life of honesty before God.
Reading: Exodus 10:12-20
18 Moses then left Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord. 19 And the Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt. 20 But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let the Israelites go.
