We live in an era where information is money. We can say that sharing useful information that I know with someone else also means sharing my benefits. But most people don’t share useful information, rather they give wrong information to set traps for others for their own benefits.
The Pharisees in today’s passage were the same. They received God’s blessings as His chosen people, but did not pass it on to others, and Jesus strongly rebukes them.
God wants to see us sharing in our lives. Let us follow the example of Jesus who generously gave His body for us, and pass on blessings to our neighbours around us.
Passage: Matthew 23:13-24
13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
14]
15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
