Through the parable in today’s passage, Jesus points out the Pharisees’ hypocrisy. The second son in the passage fools his father and commits a sin of disobeying him and the first son rudely refuses his father’s orders but changes his mind and does what he is told. The Pharisees swear to follow God’s commands inside the temple, but outside the temple, they were like the second son that doesn’t keep his oath.
What God wants is for us to know His will and to act accordingly. God finds joy in our worship, but if we have no worship within our lives, it will most definitely make him sad. Let our lives be a joyous worship that we give God and make Him happy.

            Passage: Matthew 21:23-32

28 “What do you think? There was a man who had two sons. He went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work today in the vineyard.’
29 “‘I will not,’ he answered, but later he changed his mind and went.
30 “Then the father went to the other son and said the same thing. He answered, ‘I will, sir,’ but he did not go.
31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?”
            “The first,” they answered.
Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.
