Encouragement and comfort that becomes our strength
The apostle Paul sends messages of encouragement, comfort to the Thessalonians.
Although they were far apart in person, the Thessalonians were close to him in heart and to the Thessalonians who did not waver but continued to hold onto the gospel even in times of persecution, Paul says with pride that they are his glory and joy.
Love and encouragement towards a community in deep hardship becomes great strength to that community. Although a life of not losing faith and spreading the gospel might seem weak and insignificant to the people of the world, to God this kind of life is His glory and joy.
I wish that today we will strengthen communities that need encouragement and comfort with Jesus's love.
Passage to read; 1 Thessalonians 2:10-20
19 For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you?
20 Indeed, you are our glory and joy.
