Jeremiah was always at death’s door as he had to preach the Word to evil kings and their people.
However, there was a man that protected Jeremiah from them, and it was Ahikam, son of Shaphan.
And behind it was God’s faithful help.
As such, God helps us by sending us people who will readily help us.
When we are faced with a dilemma, God allows helping hands so that we can endure and overcome it.
When we are alone and sad, He sends us friends to console us and when we are faced with something too great for us to face alone, He sends us those that will willingly face it with us.
I hope our lives can hold on to God’s protecting hands and His helping grace.
Passage: Jeremiah 26:16-24
23 They brought Uriah out of Egypt and took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him struck down with a sword and his body thrown into the burial place of the common people.
24 Furthermore, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, and so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
5. How will you apply the Word today?
