A member judging another member could become an 'obstacle or a stumbling block'. Here, 'to judge' means to point out something that is going against what he or she believes is the right form of faith. But what we need to know is that pointing out something that began with a judgmental mind cannot build the faith of our weak brothers and sisters. This is because they do not have a loving heart for them but are careless words.
Carelessly pointing our judgements to those with weak faiths could put them in trouble rather than strengthening them.
I hope the words from our lips are not criticisms or judgements, but words that tolerate and love one another.
Romans 14: 13-23
13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
5. How will you apply the Word today?
