  God makes a promise and a blessing to Abraham and his children. Hence Abraham was a fairly important figure to the Israelites. They believed that only the blood related children of Abraham were his true descendants who would receive the promises.
  
  However the bible tells us that even if we are not blood related to Abraham, we who believe in God are the true descendants of promise. No matter who our defendants are, it tells us that how we stand in front of God is what is important.
  
  In front of God, our inner personality and heart is what matters, not our outer appearance. What God sees and acknowledges is our inner person. I hope that our inner person becomes stronger by faith, and hence we can be acknowledged by God.
  
  Passage: Romans 2:17-29
  
  28 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.
  29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.
