          • A life of vain that comes from not knowing God.
Just by looking at the beautiful creation of the world, we can see God’s eternal power and divine nature. Humans are bound to glorify, give praise and thanks for the power and wisdom that we cannot dare to think of.
However, as wicked people, they have turned God’s truth into a lie and have shaped His creation into idols that they serve. Consequently, with the many idols that were made, people could not know God, life became futile and hearts were darkened. We need to see those people with the compassion God has for them. To those who still live a life of vain, we need to spread the news, through the gospel, that for all who believe, God has the power to save.
            Passage to read: Romans 1:18-25
20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.
22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools
23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God’s message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
