If we didn’t worship God who created us and chose us to be His children but served other gods and turned our hearts to other things, God wouldn’t be our shield, our stronghold, fortress and deliverer.
Because God is a jealous God.
But if we believe that ‘God is God’ and depend on Him, He will deliver us from our enemy’s hands.
‘God blesses those who believe in Him.’
‘God answers prayers of those who believe in Him.’
So today, I choose to believe in God who will protect me from the hands of my enemies, build an altar of prayer, and put my hope in God’s power.
Passage: Psalm 144:1~15
12 Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.
13 Our barns will be filled with every kind of provision. Our sheep will increase by thousands, by tens of thousands in our fields;
14 our oxen will draw heavy loads. There will be no breaching of walls, no going into captivity, no cry of distress in our streets.
15 Blessed is the people of whom this is true; blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
