          • Amen, Amen, Amen

The joy of entering the promised land that God prepared would not have been able to be expressed in words. However, admist this God was still worried about the Israites and hence proclaimed the boundaries and regulations that were to be follow and the Israelites replied in agreement by saying 'Amen'.
The reason why God accentuated the consequences of disobedience with curse rather than words of blessing and prosperity when speaking of these regulations was because God did not want the land and the people of God to become impure and ruined through this disobedience.
The misconduct through idolatry, not honouring your parents, discriminating and suppressing the weak, sexual relations before marriage etc are still temptations that try and prevent us to live as the people of God.
Therefore, we must read God's word daily and respond with an 'Amen' and commit to obey.

            Deuteronomy 27:11-26
14 “And the Levites shall speak with a loud voice and say to all the men of Israel:

15 Cursed is the one who makes a carved or molded image, an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’

"And all the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen!’
16 'Cursed is the one who treats his father or his mother with contempt.’
“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God’s message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
