Today, Moses tells the Israelites, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me as per your wish. You must listen to him.’
A prophet is someone that tells us God’s Words and teaches us how to live. However, many people don’t change despite hearing God’s Words from the prophet, because they ‘don’t listen to God’s commands’. If we want even the smallest change in our lives, we must ‘listen attentively’ to the message God is giving us today. And ‘obey’ them.
Let us not forget that a prophet is a servant God has appointed, and they speak on His behalf for us.
Passage: Deuteronomy 18:15~22
15 The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your fellow Israelites. You must listen to him.
16 For this is what you asked of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly when you said, “Let us not hear the voice of the Lord our God nor see this great fire anymore, or we will die.”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
