God speaks to the Israelites through Moses about His will and plan.
He tells them to pass the land of the Ammonites which belonged to Lot’s descendants because He had in store for them a different land.
The land of the Ammonites had abundant crops. It also had great grassland, suitable for pasturing.
God tells the Israelites that this was not their Promised Land, and He tells them to ‘march on’.
‘March on.’
A life of faith is holding on to God’s promise. It’s not doing what pleases me or doing things my way, but being obedient to God’s will and plan.
Let us hold on to God’s word of promise and march on. And when we do, we will be able to leave the rough wilderness and possess the land God has in store for us.
What is the word of Promise the Lord has given you?
Passage: Deuteronomy 2:16~25
18 “Today you are to pass by the region of Moab at Ar.
19 When you come to the Ammonites, do not harass them or provoke them to war, for I will not give you possession of any land belonging to the Ammonites. I have given it as a possession to the descendants of Lot.”
24 “Set out now and cross the Arnon Gorge. See, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his country. Begin to take possession of it and engage him in battle.
25 This very day I will begin to put the terror and fear of you on all the nations under heaven. They will hear reports of you and will tremble and be in anguish because of you.”
