          • The meaning of the Jesus’ cross

The cross was a capital punishment tool used in the Roman times to execute the wicked. The cross was a synonym for shame at that time. Therefore, the cross itself was not meant to be precious at all. When Jesus was crucified, the two robbers were died together on his left and right. Their cross was just a disgraceful tool for death penalty.

However, now the meaning of the cross has been changed because Jesus was crucified on the cross to give his life as a ransom. The cross has become God's ability to save us. Now Jesus’ cross is the only path through which sinners can be saved.

Therefore, I hope that our lives to cherish the cross and boast about it. I hope that our life will be a life where we look at the cross and live with thanks to Jesus who has crucified himself for us.

            Read: John 19: 17-27
            17. Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha).
            18. There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle.

‭‭1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God’s message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey today?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
