Even when Pilate recognised Jesus as the King, Jews who live by the words of God failed to recognise him. Messiah who is prophesied from the Old Testimony, The one and only God who has finally come. Jews were spiritually blind to see and realise who Jesus is.
Jesus is the only king who can lead us to eternal life and came down on earth to fulfil the law which the Jews followed.
Let us crucify our idols on the cross and let Jesus Christ live in us and be our the one and only King.
Passage: John 19:1-16
14 It was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about noon.
“Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.
15 But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”
“Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.
“We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.
