Today’s passage tells us about the day Jesus was persecuted.
Jesus and his disciples were all in a very big crisis, but the attitude they had concerning this crisis was very different. This is because the disciples looked at the moment of crisis while Jesus looked at God’s reason for this past this moment.
We can see how their attitude towards crisis changes depending on where their focus is.
Currently we are experiencing a global crisis.
The whole world is shaking with fear due to the Coronavirus.
Although we do need to try our hardest to find preventions for the virus, we also need to have eyes which are able to see past this.
We need to prepare the power to lead righteously the generation which will be suffering from misunderstandings and blame after this crisis is over.
Many people will be lost.
This is when churches need to awaken, realise what God’s plan is, and place their focus on God’s reason past this crisis.
God will definitely carry out his great plan through his body; the church.
Passage: John 18:1-14
10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. (The servant’s name was Malchus.)
11 Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
