King Saul died because of his arrogance and his sin to disobey words of God. King Saul didn’t ask God what to do, offered up the burnt offering as he thought, and inquired of medium so God made him die and made David as a king.
We, the children of God, should not live according to our own opinions, but ask God even the small matters. We need to ask his guidance, and live a life to obey.
May the LORD lead you again today, and may you live a life of obedience to God.
Passage: 1Chronicles9:35-10:14
1. Now the Philistines fought against Israel; the Israelites fled before them, and many fell dead on Mount Gilboa.
3. The Philistines were in hot pursuit of Saul and his sons, and they killed his sons Jonathan, Abinadab and Malki-Shua.
5. The fighting grew fierce around Saul, and when the archers overtook him, they wounded him.
7. Saul said to his armor-bearer, “Draw your sword and run me through, or these uncircumcised fellows will come and abuse me.” But his armor-bearer was terrified and would not do it; so Saul took his own sword and fell on it.
9. When the armor-bearer saw that Saul was dead, he too fell on his sword and died.”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey today?
4. What are you grateful for today?
