          • For the Lord

The apostle Paul, who lives for Jesus and preaches the words of God, has experienced countless persecutions, sufferings and unfairness. He could help himself through his own legitimacy as a Roman citizenship to set him free from this injustice, but he only uses his legitimacy for the gospel for his calling.

How did the apostle Paul feel? I think he could feel unfair and lonely. However, he knew his goal and the purpose of his life. He endured loneliness and hardships in order to finish the race of his life to run. And I think in the mean time, he might understand Jesus more deeply.

Through many hardships and unfairness we suffer, we feel the pain and feelings of hardship that Jesus had suffered. And as we realize the depth of his love, we become more like Jesus.

            (Passage: Acts 25:13~27)
            24. Festus said: “King Agrippa, and all who are present with us, you see this man! The whole Jewish community has petitioned me about him in Jerusalem and here in Caesarea, shouting that he ought not to live any longer.
            25. I found he had done nothing deserving of death, but because he made his appeal to the Emperor I decided to send him to Rome.

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?

            2. What is God’s message to you?

            3. What do you need to obey today?

            4. What are you grateful for today?
