The Hebrew word ‘Hosanna’ means ‘help’ or ‘save’.
We see it often in praise and worship songs.
In today’s passage, a large crowd welcomes Jesus into Jerusalem by shouting ‘Hosanna’.
And not long after, Jesus fulfills a great work by walking through the path of suffering and dying on the cross for our sins.
Jesus, who came for us, and Jesus who died for our sins.
Let us today remember Jesus who suffered for us and shout ‘Hosanna’ like today’s Scripture.
Passage: John 12:12-19
12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem.
13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,
“Hosanna!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
