In today’s passage, The Jews are outraged that Jesus claims to be equal with God and that he came down to save the world. They boast as they believe that they are living according to the law of God. Yet they are blind to see God’s plan through his son Jesus
They tried to stone Jesus to death and accused Jesus of blasphemy. Jesus did not come to abolish the law but to fulfil it. Jesus sacrificed his own body to complete the commandment and lead us to eternal life. For us to awe God and live as children of God, we should always obey his words and follow his voice that guides us to eternal life.
Passage: John 10:31-42
34 Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”?
35 If he called them ‘gods,’ to whom the word of God came and Scripture cannot be set aside
36 what about the one whom the Father set apart as his very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, ‘I am God’s Son’?
