Many lives in this world suffer from thirst. In order to resolve this thirst we must come to Jesus who is the source of living water. The rivers of living water that will flow within the believers signifies The Holy Spirit. It doesn’t say the water will trickle down but it says the living water will overflow which means that the work of the Holy Spirit will be so powerful there will be an overflow of joy. From this Friday evening, we will be holding a conference with guest pastor Young Joo Kim with the theme “God who releases and provides.” I have an expectant heart that God will quench our thirsty souls with the work of the Holy Spirit. God allows His church and believers to pray sincerely with an expectant heart for the grace and work of the Holy Spirit He is about to reveal to us.
Passage to read: John 7:37-52
37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.
38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
