Jesus went to the man who he healed on the day of Sabbath and told him to stop sinning from now.
Jesus saved those who were moaning and suffering from sickness and pain.
The sick who had been moaning from pain were now restored with joy and gratitude through Jesus.
But Jesus seemed to have known.
He knew, we as humans were going to be spiritually sick again.
So He said this to us. He told us to stay away from sin as something worse can happen to us.
It is difficult for us to rely on ourselves not to get sick.
But if we seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance we will be able to stay away from sin.
Today we rely on God, the Holy Spirit.
Passage to read: John 5:10-18
13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.
14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, “See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” 15 The man went away and told the Jewish leaders that it was Jesus who had made him well.
